help with the history
[edit]There is a logic error or miscommunication here. The village was not built until 1222 so how could it's ramparts foil an attack??
It was made to replace the village of Saint-Marcel, which was burnt down by the troops of Simon de Montfort in 1215, during the Northern Baron's crusade against the Albigensians.
During the Albigensian Crusade, the fortress' ramparts contributed to a successful foiling the attack.
a female count?
