Fauna

The Maria

The following content has been removed because the brigantine et al were lost in 1840 and the national park did not start until the 1960s; in other words, the former is 'off-topic" and should located in another article such as the Younghusband Peninsula:

In 1840, the brigantine Maria was shipwrecked near Cape Jaffa after leaving Port Adelaide. All 25 people aboard were massacred by Aborigines along the Coorong.
