T51 on the road

I found an image that has been posted three times on various car forums and on facebook. It is of a T51 being driven on a public road. Car number 18. Looks to be taken on a highway in Southern California. I'm afraid that Wikiepdia isn't really the place for this. This is a noticeboard specifically for discussing the article itself, not the subject of the article. To me it looks like one of the T51s that were converted to run with a Maserati 250 engine, but you really should take this to a proper racing discussion site such as Ten-Tenths or the Autosport Nostalgia Forum.
