A PR press release?
[edit]This article reads like a PR department press release. Is it? --Dupea (talk) 01:36, 20 November 2009 (UTC)
"Cooley is unique in that we have both grain and malt distilleries allowing us to create a wide range of Irish whiskey styles. Our complementary portfolio of whiskey brands allows you to enjoy the full spectrum of tastes available from Irish whiskey. Due to the mild climate it is matured in, Irish whiskey has a distinct smooth and sweet taste. Our whiskeys retain this taste profile but each has its own flavour signature due to the unique way it is distilled, the manner in which it is matured and the raw ingredients used. From our Greenore Single Grain to Connemara Peated Single Malt there is an Irish whiskey from the Cooley Collection to suit nearly all taste preferences." We have? allowing us? Our complementary portfolio? Dead giveaway that it is from a press release. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.196.201.2 (talk) 00:18, 15 January 2011 (UTC)
Section whacked
[edit]I appreciate that this page needs citations, but most of the introduction was just removed by an IP-address user. He/she seems to be doing this to other whiskey articles as well. On the talk page, there is a suggestion this is a competitor. The new whacked paragraph has a broken link, so I'm inclined to just put it all back, but maybe a couple sources are in order. goodeye (talk) 05:23, 16 November 2010 (UTC)
Rework
[edit]I did a rather severe rework of this entire article, hopefully maintaining a NPOV. All the information was gleaned from Cooley's main website, and the websites of their various products. Perhaps this moves it past a start-class article? Tthaas (talk) 22:27, 6 June 2011 (UTC)
