Have the Cook islands issued the reduced coins of 10, 20 and 50 like New Zealand has? Enlil Ninlil 02:01, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
Contradiction: 1967 or 1972?
[edit]This article contradicts itself. It sais that the dollar is the currency since 1967 thanthat the New zealand pound was the currency until 1972. Please clarify. Timur lenk —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 193.224.49.2 (talk) 09:24, 26 February 2007 (UTC).
I hope I cleared it up, the pound was replaced by the dollar in 1967. Enlil Ninlil 10:38, 26 February 2007 (UTC)
I have talked to a coin dealer in Richmond BC he owns Western Coins and Stamps and he recently tried to redeem some Cook Island banknotes and coins in the Cook Islands and at the Reserve Bank of New Zealand. All attempts failed, neither the Cook Islands nor the Reserve Bank of New Zealand will redeem the notes. If you wish you can contact Jim Richardson at Western Coins and stamps. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.49.22.112 (talk) 06:26, 30 July 2011 (UTC)
