Improving The Definition of Conversion Funnel (TL:DR: Conversion Funnel & Path have the same definition on Wiki)

[edit]

Other than adding images, the definition should be corrected too. The definition should be something like "The conversion funnel is a term specific to e-commerce businesses, that helps visualize the number of users that drop off between the initial point of contact (examples: search engine results pages or online advertising) and the final point of purchase (examples: checkout pages or welcome emails). Essentially, a conversion funnel helps in understanding how many visitors become customers.

Meanwhile, a conversion path is the journey/the path/the literal steps a consumer takes while navigating an e-commerce website, and finally making a purchase. The consumer is seen as being "converted" from a visitor to the site to a buyer.

Typically, a conversion funnel is used to understand customer behavior, and retention and inform marketing strategies for better conversions and retentions."
