Should there be a separate page for FROs?

It seems as though this organization created the concept, so I'm not sure. Perhaps once more philanthropic organizations start to go this route, it might become necessary RedrickSchu (talk) 04:39, 17 October 2023 (UTC)

Legal Entities

What type of legal entity is a FRO? I'm assuming that they are 501(c) organizations, but I've had trouble finding reliable sources on this. Also, we should research, what kind of incentives are there for donors to contribute to them? If FROs are 501c3s, donations would be tax-exempt. If a given FRO's goal is to spinoff into a startup, would it be promising future equity in exchange for a tax-deductible donation? I'm not a lawyer, but that sounds sketchy.
