Very interesting article, but the main picture in the top right hand corner looks very much like Conus Bengalensis.

We actually have specimens of each in our collection, the pictures at the bottom of the article are definitely Milneedwardsii but that top picture is Bengalensis. Kenyared 3 December 2011

Leptoconus milneedwardsi milneedwardsi Jousseaume, F.P., 1894 is very similar to Darioconus bengalensis Okutani, 1968. The contested image was identified by the Houston Museum of Natural Science. Perhaps you should discuss this with the curator of the museum. We don't possess yet a photo of Darioconus bengalensis. Perhaps you could provide us one under the "Creative Commons license 3.0 Attribution". Anyway, the genus Conus is undergoing a revision that will take quite some time, since this genus is likely to be split up in many new genera. We are awaiting the forthcoming phylogenetic study on Conus. JoJan (talk) 15:01, 3 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
