I'm about 99% sure when John Mayer leaked his album early and did the intros to all the songs, he said when he introduced this song that it was the first cover he ever did for an album. Someone should look into that. Tjwells 10:17, 12 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Quote: "Bold as Love" is a Jimi Hendrix cover, the second cover that Mayer has ever recorded for a studio release.

Care to elaborate which song was Mayer's first cover if this is his second?

As a Mayer fan, I can vouch that of the two studio albums and the EP to date, none has had any covered songs. From live performances, there has been many: Message In A Bottle, Inner City Blues, I Got A Woman etc, and a few covers have appeared on the singles (I.e. Kid A on the Bigger Than My Body single, The Wind Cries Mary & Lenny on the Your Body Is A Wonderland single.

After thinking about it, I've decided that until you can source the allegation, I'm reverting to the word "first" from second. Lincalinca 14:17, 30 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Track times

Where did the track times come from? 149.135.63.43 14:22, 13 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Layout

[edit]

What's with the layout of the album listing? Looks really odd and un-wikipedia. Willnz0 08:48, 19 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Track order

[edit]

Just a small thing, but tracks 7 and 8 are reversed on my copy (AU). I've not changed it in case its because we're down under. Iorek85 05:08, 9 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

The link to the Jimi Hendrix song was actually to an album of the same name, so I've removed it.Willnz0 09:09, 10 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

UK Artwork??

Second single: Belief?

[edit]

Belief is noted as the second single from the album. this is noted as a rumour in the WOTWTC page, but is it confirmed? I'm gonna "fact" it till a reference can make it reliable.

Musicians

[edit]

I think the contributing musicians for this album should be listed DJW2tone 20:31, 28 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Composers

[edit]

Anyone know why all of the songs except for "Vultures," "Bold as Love," and "In Repair" are credited as being composed by Jimi Hendrix/John Mayer/John Mayer, Charlie Hunter?

Third Single?

[edit]

I haven't heard anything about "Dreaming with a Broken Heart" being the next single, so I'm removing it from the box. The page for the song itself says that it's the fourth single. When someone gets something official, put it up. Joliefille 21:18, 30 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Third album?

[edit]

On Mayer's main page his albums are listed: Inside wants Out (1999); Room For Squares (2001); Heavier Things (2003); Continuum (2006); and Battle Studies (2009). So Continuum is his fourth album correct? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sundance Girl (talkcontribs) 05:32, 3 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No, Inside Wants Out is considered an EP.--217.224.252.48 (talk) 11:48, 21 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

JJ Johnson

[edit]

John Mayers other drummer... He ain't mentioned? Funny, because he does appear as secondary drummer on the album. Don't hang me up on which numbers to be exact, but I know for sure that on the third track "Belief" is he playing the drums. He also appear as the drummer in the musicvideo from Abbey Road in the before mentioned track link --Dooba (talk) 17:32, 30 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
