Systemic bias web content development
[edit]I've been browsing the edit history; and I've notice subtle deletions and edits that deliberately attempt to narrow the scope of the article to be specifically about web content design. Aside from the overreaching broadness of the term "content design" (almost as vague as "doer of stuff") the term may have originated in the (better late than never to the party) field of web content development in the history of media. But neither the word "content" nor "designer" is exclusively used in web-based content. Even if the web is capable of supporting every imaginable content format, the web page is not the only medium capable of supporting those content formats. If the scope is not broadened, the article may need to be renamed "web content designer" or "content designer (web development); while the original title of the article may need to link to a disambiguation page. Edit ideas
[edit]Hello, my name is Elizabeth and I chose to critique this article for my mass communications class. Content Designers are very important and have always held an important job in print and on the web. However, the web designer v. web developer topic should go more in depth as well as the career path. Try elaborating more on what higher positions are available in field of content designing and how content designers are able to attain a higher position in this field of work. Overall, you did a good job! I look forward to working with you and others on wikipedia in the near future. Eparedes97 (talk) 03:21, 27 September 2016 (UTC)
@Eparedes97: Nice job adding to the page. It looks at though the reference you added (the 2nd one in the references list) is missing the author. You can click on the "help" button next to the reference for more info. Also, the retrieved date in the citation should be the day that you accessed the article. The date you included, March 27, 2015, is the date that the article was published. Please change the "date accessed" and add the publication date. In case you need help with fixing the citation error, or need any editing/formatting help with Wikipedia, you can always reach out to the Wikipedia Content expert who's part of our course (his name is Adam). You can get in contact with him by clicking on the "help" button from our Wikipedia course page (while you're logged in) and tell him what you need help with.Prof.bgreg (talk) 12:47, 1 October 2016 (UTC)
Hello, for this article I plan to elaborate on the career path of content designing and the specific steps you need to take in order to have a successful career in content designing. I also want to discuss the importance of content designing in this era and how it effects us in ways that we didn't imagine before. I want to further elaborate on the duties and repsonsbilities that content designers have and why it's important to excel in those areas. I hope I can make a great contribution with everyone else on wikipedia. Eparedes97 (talk) 23:58, 7 October 2016 (UTC)

Hi everyone I have been asked to become a content editor. My background is UX and I am a senior UX consultant for a global tech firm. I found the sections on web development and web design wholly irrelevant and confusing "why am I reading about this when I can find information on web dev/design elsewhere?". Suggest you remove these sections. Quite ironic seeing as you're writing about content design Colmcq (talk) 09:25, 23 June 2017 (UTC)
