Assessment
[edit]I have assessed this as a Stub, as it contains on the basic information on the topic, and of low importance, as it is a highly specialized topic within Canada. Cheers, CP 17:06, 11 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit]As a stand-alone article this may not have too much merit. I cannot find similar articles for other nations (UK and US for example) that have larger populations. Given the relative size of Canada, its art history and Wikipedia editors devoted to the topic of Canadian art, focusing attention and energy on one article that already has this as a section (pretty much identical to the text on this page). Contemporary art is a notoriously slippery term, when it begins, who belongs under this term and so on. Having an article under this name--which I can't imagine too many people every search for--seems redundant. freshacconci talktalk 19:23, 1 July 2011 (UTC)
