this is a really gay site as it doesn't actualy tell you what the forces that classify under "contact forces" are.

This kind of language should not be allowed on this site.

This is hardly a scientific definition. Electric and magnetic forces, like gravitational forces, are long-range forces, i.e., not contact forces. Elastic potential energy is not a force and represents the capacity for doing work on an object.
