contact centre?
[edit]may be its my fault, but I was expecting this article to talk about a king of cvall centre that handles not only calls but emails / forms etc from customers. at least a disambiguation would make sense imho. --BBird (talk) 15:02, 17 June 2008 (UTC)

contact centre?
[edit]I completely agree, this is wrong! My mother has worked in social services all of her life and it is not a contact centre (for children) they refer to those as a family centre OR child contact centre, a contact centre refers to what has been populated for call centres on wiki.... shouldnt this be changed???
If no one disagrees, i will create a child contact centre and move the body of this article into there and then populate this page with contact centre specific with regards to communications...
Please let me know your thoughts, thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.21.61.44 (talk) 10:01, 10 May 2010
Change of content
[edit]I'm sorry I didn't see the above "discussion" about the content earlier. To me (with a background of working with children and young people in a social care setting), and occaisional stints working in call-centres, I feel the social care use is probably the more usual. I have just corrected several of the incoming links, which were left pointing here after the content was changed, and about equal numbers referred to the social care centres as to the business usage which the article now covers. Contact center resource
[edit]I have recently started a blog on contact centers, which is aimed to become a resource library for contact centers. Discussing technologies, concepts and news stories.
