[Untitled]
[edit]I object to the proposed deletion of this article. The phrase is notable because it has become prominent in two major protest movements: the environmental movement (especially in the 1970s) and the Occupy Wall Street movement of 2011. The links provided illustrate its prominence in popular culture (including music and photography). The article is clearly just a stub, but it should be given a substantial amount of time to attract the attention of someone who is more of a social historian. References don't support notability
[edit]Looking at the New York Times piece cited in this article, here's what it says about the phrase: "But not far away, Benny Zable, 66, a longtime activist, was protesting while wearing a gas mask and a suit that read 'Work Consume Be Silent Die.'" If this one sentence is the support for article's claim that "The phrase traces to 1970s environmental protests but regained prominence during the Occupy Wall Street protests of 2011" then that support is a house of cards. I'm standing by my PROD, because no widespread notability in reliable sources has been established. Passing mentions are not enough here - what is needed are sources which discuss the phrase itself.
