[edit]The writer of this article has political and religious bias. Farhoudk 21:34, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
There is no right to bear arms in the constitution. There is no need to put {{fact}} after something that is easily verified by looking at the constitution.--Patchouli 21:13, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
Article 151 [Military Training]
In accordance with the noble Koranic verse: "Prepare against them whatever force you are able to muster, and horses ready for battle, striking fear into God's enemy and your enemy, and others beyond them unknown to you but known to God..." [8:60], the government is obliged to provide a program of military training, with all requisite facilities, for all its citizens, in accordance with the Islamic criteria, in such a way that all citizens will always be able to engage in the armed defence of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The possession of arms, however, requires the granting of permission by the competent authorities.
Farhoudk 21:29, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
In the U.S., if you are not a felon, then you can get a permit for a rifle or a handgun to go to shooting ranges in the United States, not necessarily to defend the country.--Patchouli 22:30, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
In Iran one can receive permission to carry weapon for hunting in hunting grounds. I have not heard about public shooting ranges in Iran yet. Farhoudk 13:16, 7 December 2006 (UTC)
The paragraph about individuals' rights to bear arms reflects a deeply US-American concern and, in the present context sounds rather bizarre. The right to bear arms is NOT a core component of Western Democracy. I am not aware of any Western European country that grants a constitutional right to bear arms to its citizens. Therefore I suggest that paragraph 4.2 be deleted --chlange001 23:11, 18 December 2006 (UTC)— User:Chlange001 (talk • contribs) has made few or no other edits outside this topic.
The english in this article is extremely hard to follow, which is a shame due to the tranparency one could achieve which would allow english speaking people to gain further insight into Iran and improve their understanding and tolerance of it. 131.152.231.246 (talk) 07:34, 24 October 2017 (UTC)
Mullahcracy link
[edit]A link has been added for Mullahcracy in the "See Also" section. Please see [1] for the full discussion on why this term is a POV neologism. Moreover, this term is in violation of WP:NEO, it states: "neologisms should be avoided in articles". I will remove the link unless there are objections. 1979 Constitution
[edit]Does anyone have a copy of the 1979 version of the constitution (without the 1989 amendments)? I think that would be a good reference for people studying the history of constitutions in the Republic. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Throckmorton Guildersleeve (talk • contribs) 16:54, 4 September 2009 (UTC)
Adoption Date
[edit]I think the date of 24 October is wrong, since the referendum was on 10 and 11 of Azar in 1358. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Neshat23 (talk • contribs) 05:13, 21 March 2012 (UTC)
- Also, Iranian constitutional referendum, December 1979 says that the referendum to approve the constitution was on December 2 and 3. —howcheng {chat} 17:26, 24 November 2015 (UTC)

Iran Chamber Society
[edit]This "society" provides almost no information on itself on its website. There is nothing about where it is based (no postal address; whois says its domain is registered in Toronto but that's via a privacy service so it's not reliable), who its members are, or what its editorial policies are (those policies are mentioned but not defined). I would consider it a self-published source since this lack of information gives it no accountability whatsoever. Surely a more reliable source is available for citing the constitution of Iran. Abandoned user draft
[edit]Please would an interested editor assess the material added at User:Ms131313/sandbox, incorporate what is useful, blank that page as WP:COPYARTICLE, and leave a note here when done? – Fayenatic London 17:55, 3 April 2022 (UTC)

2023 edits
[edit]am attempting to expand the article to include summaries on almost all the constitution's articles but keep it shorter than the Constitution itself.
in addition am adding observations on the Constitution by scholars or authors under headings "commentary" to distinguish it from the summaries of the content of the Constitution itself --Louis P. Boog (talk) 12:30, 2 April 2023 (UTC)
Esperanto#Islam
[edit]2600:1700:db70:6d20:7194:9382:406a:4449 removed comment re Esperanto#Islam but with no indication that they have looked at it.
The Esperanto#Islam article quotes something that the Ayatolla Khomeini said and did.
Also 2600:1700:db70:6d20:7194:9382:406a:4449 say not right way to make a comment with no details about right way. ----MountVic127 (talk) 23:31, 5 June 2024 (UTC)
Order of Articles 27, 37, 29
[edit]Is there a good reason why Article 37 is out of order and lies between 27 and 29? ----MountVic127 (talk) 05:41, 6 June 2024 (UTC)
