Rate increase
Would putting the 50% rate increase that will occur in June be considered unencyclopediac? There are a number of news articles thta can reference this, but beofre I insert this information I wanted to be sure. Wildthing61476 15:11, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
I think that the 50% increase is not a particularly noteworthy section of a Constellation Energy page. However, if BGE had it's own page or if there was a "Maryland Deregulation" page, that would be an appropriate place for that. I'm unsure if there's a "Maryland Dereg" page and I know that there is no BGE page, however that doesn't stop you from making one.TheCommodore7 20:27, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
In fact, I think that the Maryland Deregulation is definitely noteworty for its own article. It has garnered innumerable articles, influenced the electric industry in the US, influenced a gubernatorial election, etc. TheCommodore7 17:18, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
- I think a section on the rate increase would be justified, including the effects it had on campaign promises by both Erlich and O'Malley; this was a big issue in the last election. --PeanutCheeseBar 17:29, 5 July 2007 (UTC)
If you want to add something, feel free. I don't think anyone here will delete it or anything like that. I still think it would fit better in its own article. Maryland Electric Deregulation SHOULD be its own article and, if I had the time, I'd write it. As it is, I can't see another place on wikipedia where it would be better suited than here (until the aforementioned article is written). I'd like to point out that this is a change from my previous thoughts above. Upon further inspection, I can't find a better place to put it than here, as of now. - I wouldn't mind writing the piece, but I also don't have the time; however, it should be included here. --PeanutCheeseBar 22:52, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
- I'll try putting something together and *attempt* to be NPOV. A lot will begin unsourced (that's where the time thing comes in), but hopefully you can help with that.TheCommodore7 14:21, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
Notable employees/persons?
It's been reported that George W. Bush's new son-in-law - Henry Hager - who married his daughter Jenna Bush - is/will be working for Constellation Energy. Given that Family's self-interested tentacles around energy, there ought to be a section on notable employees working/or who have worked for the firm. Kinda like a social network analysis and to see who's connected to who. Who knows, Constellation Energy may see a good review coming its way before GWB departs. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 123.200.232.245 (talk) 11:46, 11 May 2008 (UTC)
Why does the intro discuss out-of-context yellow statements on the CEO, stock price, and CEO compensation? This article, and the above comment re whether George W. Bush's son-in-law may work for Constellation, degrade the entry to the level of a conspiracy theory rant. 149.101.1.115 (talk) 21:06, 14 February 2012 (UTC)dbartramr
