Read through this quite quickly, so just offering some quick input. Waiting for your responses and then I'll pass. Ichthyovenator (talk) 16:17, 29 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Some thoughts:

  • Does Constantine Angelos Doukas fulfill Wikipedia:Notability? He appears to be a quite obscure figure, leading to a short article using just two sources. I'm sure the article comprehensively accounts for the information in said sources and that you used everything you could but I'm asking just in case (I'm not entirely sure of the criteria myself).
  • Isaac Angelos Doukas could probably be added as his father in the infobox; he doesn't have to be linked there since he doesn't have an article.
  • Unsure if "success went to Constantine's head" is encyclopedic wording™. Up to you if you keep it like that or rephrase it somehow.
  • Is "or whether he was married and had any offspring" necessary? Whether he married or had children would be included under "Constantine's subsequent fate is unknown" no? I was told that mentioning that whether Godscall Paleologue "grew up and married" or not is unknown was unnecessary at the GA review of that article.
Hi Ichthyovenator, thanks for taking this on. I could definitely add more sources, but it wouldn't add anything to the article; I had a look, and other works on the period mention him but mostly repeat the same story. This does not make him non-notable, however: he was closely related to two emperors, was a provincial governor and military commander, and led a rebellion. That's more than enough for a historical figure (his father, OTOH, is definitely non-notable, as far as I can tell). On the second and third suggestions, done. Regarding the last one, the comparison does not really apply: Godscall is known through her baptismal records alone, so obviously her later life is also unknown. Constantine was young, but he certainly was an adult, and might well have had a family before his uprising, so this needs to be clarified. Constantine 19:25, 29 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, I agree on both points. On the sources and notability; I was just making sure since I've been unsure of this in the past when working on things of my own. Good work on this, passing now. Ichthyovenator (talk) 19:36, 29 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you, Ichthyovenator. If you want something meatier to review, may I suggest Manuel Kamytzes? ;-) Constantine 19:40, 29 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I'm on it, going to take a lil bit longer than this one did ;-) Ichthyovenator (talk) 20:13, 29 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
