Improving this page
[edit]Couple of thoughts for other editors of this page:
1) I'm confused why this page is under wikiproject birds? Seems like it should be a generalized article about parasites and not bird-specific?
2) I don't understand the deliberate extermination section; first, it talks mostly about viruses, but I got the impression that this page was intended to focus on animals. Second, it feels contradictory to the spirit of the article? Of course it's important to include nuance but this section just seems a bit out of place to me.
I'd like to renovate this page but don't want to step on any toes so discussion is welcome. Jsagesid (talk) 14:25, 22 May 2023 (UTC)
- I'm confused why the "Examples of Conservation" section just lists extinct parasites. Wouldn't that be "examples of a lack of conservation"? I get that they're parasites that went extinct as the unintended consequence of other conservation efforts, but feel the current wording is quite misleading, as it implies these are examples of efforts to conserve parasites. 86.18.61.187 (talk) 09:26, 14 May 2024 (UTC)
