Sarah, great outline! You seem to be covering all of the key points for conservation of feathers, but what about taxidermy birds? How to care for the feathers of a mounted bird might be a good addition and provide a little basis on why you need to conserve feathers (in some cases). The National Park Service has a good article about the handling and care of bird specimens: https://www.nps.gov/museum/publications/conserveogram/11-09.pdf. You really seem to be on the right track, topic wise, and meeting Wikipedia "standards". Love the photos! KKuhn12 (talk) 21:32, 15 April 2016 (UTC)
Agreed, this is a great outline and definitely meets wikipedia standards. I think you are covering all the necessary points. The images you have included are helpful illustrations as well. I don't know if you have come across this yet but Minnesota Historical Society has information here that pertains to feathers along with other materials that might be helpful. - Ana — Preceding unsigned comment added by Aengels1 (talk • contribs) 13:09, 17 April 2016 (UTC)

(I agree, this would be a good spot to include links from the Feather wikipedia page. I combined some of the sections below and added possible links to include for each.) JessBeebe (talk) 22:46, 23 November 2019 (UTC)
