It isn't clear to me why this belongs under the "expeditions" or "campaigns". The article says they surrendered without a fight William M. Connolley (talk) 16:46, 13 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

this is similiar to the Conquest of Mecca , muslim scholars deny any fighting took place in the conquest, but agree that fighting took place after. i think the info box should stay even if no fighting took place, just like the the conquest of mecca page (infobox do have a point, it summarised everything and is concise)--Misconceptions2 (talk) 19:25, 13 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
The infobox has nothing to do with fighting or not. It is simply pointless, since it says nothing that isn't in the lede.

Dodgy refs

[edit]

I took out http://books.google.co.uk/books?id=5GiZqe3tI1gC&pg=PA69 Encyclopaedia of Holy Prophet and Companions, By Shahid Ashraf, pg 69 because it says things like "the hand of god can clearly be seen directing the muslims". That isn't the sort of thing you expect to find in neutral refs William M. Connolley (talk) 20:58, 13 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

yeh, well its a muslim source :) , they all say thigns liek that. but i only used it (if i remember), to justify a name for the title. so can you please add it back at the into and keep it for that cause please. or is that against wiki policy?--Misconceptions2 (talk) 21:01, 13 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Ah well now you mention it, that was my next question: do you have any reliable source even for the name of this page? There isn't one at the moment? William M. Connolley (talk) 21:02, 13 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I also took out List of Battles of Muhammad, because I can't find any ref to Fidak or Fadak in it William M. Connolley (talk) 21:02, 13 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

And http://www.witness-pioneer.org/vil/Books/SM_tsn/ch6s2.html "The rest of Khaibar also fell to the Muslims. Allâh cast fear into the hearts", Witness-Pioneer.com which looks dubious William M. Connolley (talk) 21:06, 13 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Well they are muslims, and i think he is referencing a quran verse when he says "allah cast fear into their hearts", and the "list of battles" source spells it fidk--Misconceptions2 (talk) 21:20, 13 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Name of this page

[edit]

I raised this above, but perhaps it deserves its own section: is there any reliable source for even the name of this page? William M. Connolley (talk) 21:26, 13 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You removed the only source i used to justify naming it the conquest of fidak. which was this http://books.google.co.uk/books?id=5GiZqe3tI1gC&pg=PA69

i think you should not have removed it, as i was not using it to reference the info in the article. but only the title --Misconceptions2 (talk) 21:37, 13 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

here is another ref, justifying the name "conquest of fadak"

http://books.google.co.uk/books?ei=qoX2TajlBNOp8QPuoti4Bw&ct=result&id=R4QQAQAAIAAJ&dq=Khaibar

i will also add this ref to justify calling it the conquest of fadak

http://books.google.co.uk/books?id=RqdcXWARYCQC&pg=PA61

see notes section --Misconceptions2 (talk) 21:49, 13 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request it's removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.

Below is a list of links that were found on the main page:

Resolved This issue has been resolved, and I have therefore removed the tag, if not already done. No further action is necessary.—cyberbot II NotifyOnline 20:12, 11 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
