This redirect now overlaps unhelpfully with the more useful redirect William Congreve, which it used to redirect to, apparently for the sake of bringing in Congreve (horse). I'm sorry, I can see where you're coming from, but that's not a really good reason. Please check out the definition of a disambiguation page at the bottom of the page: it's supposed to be "a list of articles associated with the same title". A list of articles, i. e. existing articles, not redlinks. All the Congreves who do have articles are in fact named William, which makes William Congreve a much better dab page. Therefore, I'm reverting this page to be a redirect to William Congreve. Bishonen | talk 02:16, 21 November 2005 (UTC).
- I had written a stub for Congreve (horse) last night when I created the redirect, but for whatever reason, it didn't take (most likely that I never hit "save"). I've created another stub for it and reverted your revert. A dab page is completely warranted in this case; a user who types in "congreve" when looking for William Congreve will be presented with the same three options he saw under the old redirect. This page just presents one new option in case someone is looking for the horse, which is a reasonable assumption if someone is typing "congreve" without a first name. | Keithlaw 14:53, 21 November 2005 (UTC)
