I edited/copyedited the entry substantially for flow, tone, style and clarity.
I find several problems that need to be addressed for content:
- the article jumps back and forth between the Roman Catholic and Christian churches in general, resulting in confusion. The Roman Catholic church sharply distinguishes between First Communion and Confirmation, whereas other Christian denominations do not even have a First Communion.
- some of the sociological statements re wealth and dress do not appear valid.
- As a general statement, someone more familiar with the content could review and likely compress a good bit of the content.
- Several of the lines are confusing and I cannot figure out how to edit for meaning and preserve the author's intent.
