Airdates
[edit]The article initially claims a premiere date of October 1, but the episode listing says that the first episode aired on September 12. Can somebody please figure out which one is correct? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 63.83.35.3 (talk) 08:27, 13 March 2009 (UTC)
The Show's Title
[edit]I very distinctly remember this show's title being "Conan the Barbarian", and no, I'm not confusing it with the movie, because I didn't know that there was a movie until years after the show ended. Perhaps "Conan the Adventurer" is only the Australian title...
Can anyone else corroborate this? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 63.83.35.3 (talk) 08:23, 13 March 2009 (UTC)
Yes, I remember the theme song. It was definitely called "Conan the Barbarian." I watched much of this show as a kid, and remember it very clearly. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.207.106.193 (talk) 00:50, 2 October 2010 (UTC)
The Missing Episode
[edit]This series ran for 65 episodes, not 64 as stated on the page. The missing episode's title is "A Needle in a Haystack". In it, Conan's shield is stolen (with Needle inside it), so he has to look for it. For some reason, this episode wasn't included in the Australian DVD release. It goes between Episode 32 (Dragon's Breath) and Episode 33 (Torrinon Returns).
Also, as further proof, Christy Marx (one of the show's main writers) states in her web site that 65 episodes of Conan were made: http://www.christymarx.com/writing/sxsum.htm#conan

Ok, so there are 2 lists of 64 episodes, each with one episode not on the other list. That is the 65th episode. One list has "Needle in a Haystack", one list has "Sword of Destiny". Big Cartoon Database doesn't list Sword of Destiny but IMDB lists all 65 episodes. Looks like the episode guide needs to be edited. Anyone know production order? Not sure if the air order is properly known (Paszaz is not a proper source. They just made up their information and have it fit a formula. They may be responsible for the Thundercats airdate debacle, which despite being contradicted by actual script dates, the bogus airdates are still the more common ones on the internet). --67.176.143.0 (talk) 07:56, 19 July 2011 (UTC)

Conan the Adventurer not really related to the cartoon
[edit]The comic was actually not really related to the cartoon. It in fact just told stories of his younger years. In fact, many of the stories were acknowledged adaptations of the work and ideas of Clark Ashton Smith, including an appearance by Tolometh, mention of Poseidonis, and mention of the weird of Avoosl Wuthhaquan. None of the characters created for the cartoon appeared in the comic. It told fully the story of the Battle of Venarum, show only fleetingly in fbs previously, in its first issue. [unsigned]
This should be broken up into separate articles! -- Sy / (talk) 22:44, 3 February 2007 (UTC)
On second thought, the tv series really really ought to be given its own page, so that encyclopedic-quality insults can be laid thick on a new page. -- Sy / (talk) 16:52, 4 February 2007 (UTC)

I believe this listing is more acurate since the end of Episode 3 Star of Shadizar, the character of Jasmine mentions about going to the city of wizards Xanthus (while Zula leaves saying he needs to attend to things back home), and the Episode Greywolf of Xanthus (listed as episode 4 here)is where they Conan and Jasmine get to Xanthus. [unsigned]
- In Conan the Gladiator Conan uses the sign of Jhebbal-Sag, which he learns in Men of Stone - this alone shows that this order is wrong. The correct order of season 1 episodes is this:
- The Night of Fiery Tears
- Blood Brother
- Men of Stone
- Star of Shadizar
- Greywolf of Xanthus
- Shadow Walkers
- Conan the Gladiator
- The Claw of Heaven
- Windfang's Eyrie
- The Heart of Rakkir
- The Serpent Riders of Set
- The Terrible Torrinon
- Seven Against Stygia
What Venue?
[edit]There is one thing missing from this article--the series' venue! Was this first shown on a broadcast network, a cable/satellite channel, or in first-run syndication, and if either of the first two, which specific one? Does anybody know? The IMDb doesn't, and I don't remember, although I do have memory of this program being on. I just didn't pay any attention to it. Ted Watson 22:58, 2 September 2007 (UTC)
Suggestion
[edit]This article needs to be compressed and speculation removed. I'd do it myself but I'm not an expert on this show. But there is LOTS of speculation. Lots42 (talk) 13:46, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
