NPOV
[edit]I tagged this article NPOV, as it has unreferenced allegations of misconduct. I will check back in a while and see if references have been added, otherwise much of the article will be deleted.Seaphoto 05:44, 12 November 2007 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Seaphoto (talk • contribs)

yeah, this article could really do with some account of the circumstances in which the department was closed. Mention of the closure need not in itself be critical of the department, but a balanced account of the events would at least allow people to reach their own conclusions. As it stands, the silence on the matter does not come very well. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.97.217.134 (talk • contribs) 16:29, 20 September 2009 (UTC)
One thing that is odd is the Compton Police Department was indeed closed due to an exceedingly large number of misconduct allegations. Now, with former Chief Rouzan attempting to bring the department back, all of the unreferenced material on corruption is gone, but all of the backstories expounding on former past leaders glories have stayed. Yet the "good" material is just as unreferenced. It seems that the desire to prevent an article from becoming a stub has led to copious quantities of fluff.Jasecloud4 (talk) 16:29, 29 May 2010 (UTC)
NEEDS A REWRITE
[edit]As written it should be called "the former chiefs of police of Compton".
As others have pointed out the most unique thing about the City of Compton police is that they were disolved in 2000. For some reason there is no explanation given on this.
The article does not read as an encyclopedia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by ZeroXero (talk • contribs) 18:39, 18 July 2012 (UTC)
- Be bold and feel free fix it with proper reliable sources. tedder (talk) 18:45, 18 July 2012 (UTC)
Expert Needed
[edit]An expert familiar with California history could probably be used here to help figure out where the majority of the information came from. --Cameron11598 (Talk) 22:31, 15 August 2019 (UTC)
