Merge discussion

I have proposed Open source project management software be merged here. As things stand, it is a fork of this article, and serves no purpose since the license column in this article can be easily sorted. More worryingly, each article's content seems to have been updated separately. Lmatt (talk) 02:45, 29 December 2011 (UTC)

The former now includes details on Open Source licenses and hence more informative, but it would be nice to see the same info available here. --techtonik (talk) 05:25, 20 February 2012 (UTC)
As you can see, I added a new table for getting general information and features separated and thus the merge is completed. No information was lost. I think we should get references for every information. I will try to work on these in the next few days hopefully. mabdul 21:37, 29 February 2012 (UTC)

Proposed changes/addition

{{request edit}}

The General Information section should be updated to say that Project KickStart is hosted on-premise and it is not SaaS. The Features section has incorrect information on Project KickStart; it does feature a workflow system, document management, and reporting and analyses.

Webplanner has been on the market since August 2, 2011, and would be a good addition to this chart. General Information for Webplanner: Web-based, not hosted on-premise, SaaS, proprietary. Webplanner Features: Collaborative, scheduling, resource management, workflow system, document management. "No" for the others.

Disclosure: I work for Experience in Software, makers of Project KickStart and Webplanner. Given the potential conflict of interest, I am following the advice here: WP:SCOIC

Not done Do you know why this page is protected? Because everybody is adding software without reading the guidelines and big notices above the edit window: Please read WP:WTAF and start writing an article (the best is using the our article wizard). Another problem is, that I started to improve that article so that every fact/claim is cited by a reference, but sadly nobody is following me. mabdul 08:41, 27 April 2012 (UTC)

Edit Request 30 June 2012

Hi. Can we add 2-plan project management software in this article? I have downloaded this software for free and am using it. Not sure if that can be considered a conflict of interest. PolicarpioM (talk) 06:18, 30 June 2012 (UTC)

Yes, you can. If you can find references for the features, please add them! (Don't worry about the style, we fix it!) mabdul 13:36, 5 July 2012 (UTC)

Edit Request 05 July 2012

Hi, I think we should add the software project team builder. I used it and I noticed: It is web based, not sure about hosted on premises, available as SAAS, has a propriety license, is collaborative, does not offer issue tracking, deals with scheduling, deals with PPM, deals with resource management, I think it does not deal with document management, has a workflow system and reporting analysis. I'll look for sources for this information when I have more time. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.108.41.21 (talk) 12:35, 5 July 2012 (UTC)

Edit request on 5 July 2012

Please change 'Oracle Project Portfolio Management' to 'Oracle Primavera EPPM' because this is the correct name currently, following Oracle's acquisition on Primavera Systems, Inc. Please link this internally to the page 'Primavera (systems)', again, because this is now a more accurate page to reflect Oracle's PPM software.

For the same reason, please could 'Primavera Planner Suite' be removed altogether as it no longer exists.

Could the Oracle Primavera EPPM listing be linked to the internal page Primavera (software) as this page is more directly related to the subject and so more informative CapilanoSabores (talk) 15:42, 10 July 2012 (UTC)

Done Already done and per above. mabdul 14:40, 12 July 2012 (UTC)

Add Agilefant to the tables

Open source project which appears to get only 24 search results on Google, but probably deserves a place be in the comparison tables Larytet (talk) 01:38, 1 August 2012 (UTC)

Ghits are not everything! Books, printed articles in magazines or newspapers, etc. do also count. But before we can add the entry about Agilefant, please write the article first! mabdul 08:43, 1 August 2012 (UTC)
