[edit]- There isn't much use with both a list and a comparison
- How do we make the comparison table sortable?

Which netbooks are fully supported by which distro
[edit]It would be nice to mention for each distro which netbook(s) are fully supported by it. I mean including things like full support of power management (shutdown and suspend), Webcam support, Wifi support etc etc. For example kuki linux seems to be designed to fully support the Acer Aspire One. While other distro's (Ubuntu netbook remix) seem to be designed to suport all brands of netbooks, but it might not support all the features of many netbooks. Mahjongg (talk) 04:29, 12 May 2009 (UTC)
Aim of the distribution
[edit]Mahjongg refers to it. Perhaps it were good to put in what type of netbook the distro is centered: UNR is for all netbooks while Linux4One is for Aspire One.
Personally, I drop the section of google trends because it could be irrelevant. For the other hand, I drop too the references to version number and kernel versions and other version specific things, because these will be updated continously and these increase table. I center the article in the essential _among_ the netbook distribution: - what are the aims of the distro - what is the interface: netbook remix, gnome, xfce, etc. - if it has optimization (for example SSD write disk) - in what distro is based
The rest is superflous. In my opinion.
For the other hand, if this article is really a comparison and not like the original article a list, then we should change the title: [Comparison of Netbook Distributions] instead of [List of Netbook Distributions] —Preceding unsigned comment added by Xan2 (talk • contribs) 14:56, 14 May 2009 (UTC)
completeness
[edit]shouldn't this page have all the default EEE Xandros and that sort of thing listed here, such as cloudbook distro, the OLPC distro, Aspire, etc? Or, if this is just limited to SSDbased distros there should be more focus on the SSD compatable filesystem aspect.
Sorry for not adding this content myself, I'm not expert enough right now to write this and also I'm uncertain as the pupose of this page.

Distrowatch has rankings based on last 12/6/3/1 month(s)[1], what period are the given numbers for? I couldn't check this directly because the Distrowatch tables are updated daily and there seems to be no history.
Also it would be nice to include the version number of the mother distro (if applicable), eg which distros are still based on Ubuntu Jaunty vs Karmic.--87.162.28.65 (talk) 22:40, 3 November 2009 (UTC)
I vote for substitute google trends information for distrowatch numbers. These are more objective and uptodate —Preceding unsigned comment added by Xan2 (talk • contribs) 19:37, 9 November 2009 (UTC)

Google Trends graph almost 6 years old!
[edit]Does it really make sense to visualize the popularity of a handful of distributions with almost 6 year old data? The graph seems pretty pointless from a current perspective. Furthermore, just an additional example from looking at the meego data: Google Trends data are shown for meego 1.3, which never even existed. Plus, meego itself has not had a release in almost 4 years now (since July 2012); at least according to its wikipedia page. --2A02:8108:9C0:54:A454:F307:1DA7:EF2F (talk) 18:13, 12 March 2016 (UTC)
