[edit]I have just attributed J. Edward Armishaw's candidacy to the United Farmers of BC per his obit from the Province (https://www.newspapers.com/image/499771770). His running against Neill (a less apt "progressive" candidate there never was, but in any event!) can be explained by broader partisan dynamics. Neill was aligned with the BC Liberals (caucusing with the Liberals federally) and the reactionary wing of the labour movement, whereas Armishaw seems to have followed the UFBC organization into the opposition Provincial Party after this. 2607:FEA8:6C5B:B200:19C8:8732:9D17:FDA5 (talk) 14:26, 16 October 2024 (UTC)
