[edit]This seems like a weird article. I don't exactly know his to improve it, but... having read it, I don't feel any more enlightened.
Maybe the article should talk about what some CDDs have done using the special status. Disney World is a CCD, along with the huge "The Villages" development, both in the US state of Florida. Do all such districts provide their own police and fire protection? Is police and fire response time better or worse than the surrounding municipalities? Does the police protection work well? Are the costs reasonable compared with other municipalities? How about utilities?
I would hope there are sources discussing these issues, which could make for a more interesting article. David10244 (talk) 04:06, 12 February 2023 (UTC)
