More work needed
[edit]I just performed a major cleanup of this article, which wasn't bad when I last edited it in January 2017, but which had major and inaccurate additions in May 2017 by an editor (Aa1817) who no longer exists on wikipedia (and not through anything I've done). Frankly, his sources should be checked, in particular the multiple references to a 2006 encyclopedia by Richard Zuczek and another published in 1991 by the same publisher. I definitely hope that it doesn't track this article's inaccuracies, since the same consortium includes Praeger, long a respected press. I'm familiar with many of the basic sources since I posted the Franklin Stearns article years ago, as well as the one concerning the Edgar Allan (that I've now correctly linked), and another about William Owen's brother, as well as edited the Alexander H.H. Stuart, Wyndham Robertson and John Brown Baldwin and several other linked articles while (unlike today) in various Virginia local history rooms. However, I've spent too much time on the fixes this afternoon given my other responsibilities to attempt the citation fixes (which I note are horribly long and mostly contain ISBNs).Jweaver28 (talk) 23:29, 25 January 2019 (UTC)
