Professional reviews

[edit]

Not sure the site The Album Project should qualify as a professional review. Looks like it's just some guy with a blog, basically. MDuchek (talk) 20:55, 6 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

agreed. i have removed it. not a professional review as such. cheers, Dave. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.57.187.191 (talk) 06:27, 9 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

yet in saying that, we must question what determines a "professional" review as such. this would probably involved a legal analysis on the word "professional". first we would look to the ordinary everyday meaning of the word "professional", then we would look at the overall purpose of the sentence in light of this textual meaning. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 219.89.225.4 (talk)

yet what determines what a "review" is? we would need to first look at the ordinary meaning of the word "review", then we would need to look at the overall purpose of the sentence in light of it's context as per s 5 (1) of the Interpretation Act 1999 which states that "the meaning of a word must be ascertained from its text and in the light of its purpose". —Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.57.190.69 (talk) 08:29, 28 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Second Single?

[edit]

What do you think will be the second single off the album?

I'm guessing it's Pyro.

Third single will be The Face.

I don't think they'll release anything else off the record —Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.57.190.69 (talk) 11:59, 28 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

hello? is anyone guna add their opinion to this matter? cheers, David. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 219.89.18.208 (talk) 07:45, 31 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I think that Pyro could be one of the singles. Ciszek (talk) 15:15, 12 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Could anybody add this to the list of charts? I would do it by myself but I can't edit the page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ciszek (talkcontribs) 20:31, 29 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

do it yourself yo. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 219.89.18.208 (talk) 10:30, 30 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If I could, I would. But this article is protected and Wikipedia doesn't allow me to make any change to it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ciszek (talkcontribs) 21:33, 30 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The protection is now gone and I have finally added the Polish chart to the article! :) Ciszek (talk) 16:36, 4 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Platinum in Australia???

[edit]

The AIRA albums chart website does not list sales, so therefore the source is invalid, so there is no way to prove its certification in Australia yet! The Man Who Needs No Introduction! (talk) 00:19, 1 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Here buddy, your source! ARIA Charts - Accreditations - 2010 Albums: Kings Of Leon - Come Around Sundown (PLATINUM). User:Coltsfan (Talk to Me) 18:04, 5 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

German Downloads Chart

[edit]

The album reached No. 1 on the German Downloads Chart! Please add that! SOURCE--79.216.220.205 (talk) 15:10, 1 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Not southern rock.

[edit]

I have listened to this album about 10 times and cannot see how it is southern rock. Does anyone object to me removing that gene from the infobox?access_denied (talk) 06:46, 17 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

"The Immortals" single

[edit]

"The Immortals" is in the list of singles but the reference is an announcement from a few weeks before the release date. A reliable source is needed that confirms whether it was released. Peter E. James (talk) 21:31, 3 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I've heard it on national radio over here a lot during the month of April. It was definitely released, but probably only as a promo single. Here's proof that it exists: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/KINGS-LEON-IMMORTALS-1-Trk-Acetate-Dj-PROMO-/130507909254 --Electricnet (talk) 09:16, 21 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

"there is a röyksopp remix floating around and it is probably meant to be an official release, radio djs including pete tong play it on their shows. here's a link to jared followill's twitter which also confirms the röyksopp remix: http://twitter.com/youngfollowill/status/25730113077252096 it hasn't been officially released yet but since promos have been sent out, there's a good chance it'll be the b-side of the single" —Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.54.90.223 (talk) 00:36, 22 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

What's with the reviews?

[edit]

I've noticed some KOL hater has probably edited the "Reception" article so it only focuses on mixed and negative reviews. On Metacritic, there are more positive reviews than mixed reviews, so it should say "mostly positive". Not to mention, no matter if it's positive, mixed, or negative, Rolling Stone still should be in there. They're the most important reviewer when it comes to music. Seriously requires editing.
