The accusation that this article reads like an advertisement is ridiculous. I have looked at other articles dealing with educational institutions in British Columbia and most of them present the same information as this article does. All of the information presented in this article is factual and describes the college's history and current situation. What in Nathanbrisk's opinion is the difference between the way the current article is written and the way it should be written? Should the article only deal with history and not current programs? Numerous other articles dealing with educational institutions deal with current programs. Does that make them "advertisements" as well? Furthermore, who is Nathanbrisk and why is he or she so concerned about this particular article? Rdthiessen (talk) 04:10, 26 September 2008 (UTC)
Here are a couple of areas where the article reads as an advertisement:
A state of the art Athletics Centre was built in 2001. It is home to the newly named "Bearcats". It features 2 full size courts and seating for 1200, Fitness Centre, Athletic Therapy Room, Team Room, Classroom and more.
to serve the students better by featuring a state of the art kitchen and dining room
. . . as well as the section on the programs offered. Also, sections regarding the growth of the campus also are advertisement-like. This article should stand on its own and be written in an objective manner. I do not know who can complete this job, but the current writing (in parts) is unacceptable. Columbia Bible College (British Columbia) → Columbia Bible College – It seems strange to have the base title redirect to an institution (Columbia International University) that last had this name 20 years ago. Looking over "Columbia Bible College" -wikipedia, most uses refer to the Canadian college. By all means, let's have a hatnote, but it should go the other way. BDD (talk) 23:35, 18 April 2014 (UTC)
- Agree - Correct and it would require a hatnote. Walter Görlitz (talk) 00:00, 19 April 2014 (UTC)
- Support. Thsi one seems very straightforward. — SMcCandlish ☺ ☏ ¢ ≽ʌⱷ҅ᴥⱷʌ≼
