[edit]This article contains paragraphs plagiarized from AmericanMafia.com, and it contradicts Dick Kreck's Smaldone without citing references. Reads like a weak term paper. MMcA (talk) 19:24, 14 November 2013 (UTC) MMcA
Not a hoax - removing proposed deletion
[edit]This article may have issues, but the topic is obviously not a hoax. I cannot vouch for every statement, but the story of the Smaldone crime family is well known in Denver, and received newspaper coverage in the Denver Post and the Rocky Mountain News. Dick Kreck, the author of the cited book on the subject, was a local newspaper columnist for many years. I have no idea why anyone would think this topic is a hoax.
