All-time results table

[edit]

Hi all,

I was on here just wanting to make a quick update to the results in the Results and Fixtures section after the exciting win against South Korea! I was about to add it to the all-time results table as well when I came across some weird numbers in the table for some of the other countries—there's quite a few countries, mostly in CONMEBOL, that have at least one more match played than is reflected on worldfootball.net here, or that I can find record of anywhere online. It's especially weird because the section says the numbers are correct as of 2020, so there really should be a few less matches on there rather than a few more.

I'm a fairly unexperienced Wikipedia editor and don't want to make any rash changes (especially because I'm not fully certain if worldfootball.net can be solely relied upon, but FIFA seems to have changed their website so I can't find their index of matches anymore). Also just because I don't follow the team that much and wouldn't know if there's some Spanish-language record of the game out there that I'm missing. I'm having trouble tracking down the edit where the numbers originated, but would anyone know why it would be recorded that they've played 13 games against Argentina rather than 12 (as of July 25th 2023), for example? And a good source on it that can be added? The other records that have more matches than they should are Bolivia, Chile, Ecuador, Peru, Uruguay, Venezuela, Canada, Mexico. A handful of others have fewer matches than they should, but that's to be expected if the table just hasn't been updated yet—I was holding off on adding those until the other stuff is cleared up.
