Substantial Update

[edit]

I have recently expanded this article, actually giving it some structure! There is a good amount of citations, even though there could be more. But now it is updated and has correct information. -SF

This article also needs a importance and class reviewing.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Gravedig2 (talkcontribs)

Not much here. Needs a lot of cleanup and expansion. Adam McCormick 23:45, 1 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re-assessment

[edit]

I am re-assessing this article for WikiProject Schools following a request. I am promoting this article from Start-class to C-class, though I am retaining the existing low importance rating. There is not enough here at the moment to justify a higher importance rating. The article is of a reasonable length and could be B-class with some further work.

The lead needs some work, it should introduce and summarise the article per WP:LEAD. The existing lead does this to a certain extent, though the opening sentence should really just focus on the school name, where the school is, and the school type. Diving straight into the curriculum gives the reader a "school leaflet" like impression of the article which is undesirable in an encyclopedic entry. The article should really have a dedicated history section rather than just having this in lead, see WP:WPSCH/AG#S for a guide on what sections a school article should have.

Avoid room-by-room descriptions and including material on events of short-term interest, such as school trips, see WP:WPSCH/AG#WNTI. The mission statement section should probably be taken out per WP:MISSION and their are potential copyright concerns of copying material from the school website (though most of the material given in this article on the school mission is not on the page cited). Such sections also raise WP:NPOV concerns. Avoid external links in the article text per WP:ELPOINTS, either use <ref></ref> tags or place external links in the external links section.

The references look rather messy and need to be cleaned up. Try and citation templates if possible such as {{cite web}}. See WP:CITET for help. Don't use <ref> tags in the references section itself. Either create some kind of further reading section (see WP:LAYOUT) or place the references next to the appropriate text in the article.
