Suggested merge
[edit]Both of these articles, Collectors Club of New York and the Lichtenstein Medal, are rather short, in fact little more than stubs, so I suggest merging them. The two topics are so closely interrelated they would be better combined into one more comprehensive article. Besides which he medal is awarded by the club, so should be in an article about the club itself with the medal becoming a redirect. ww2censor (talk) 21:51, 21 March 2009 (UTC)
- I do not feel the two pages should be merged. If that were done, then it would look like the only function of the club was the Lichtenstein Medal, which is not the case. The medal is only one minor part of the club's operations. Actually, the page for the Collectors Club should be expanded since the club provides many services and functions that are not listed or spelled out on the page. Also the history of the club should be expanded as it is one of the oldest and most prestigious and historic clubs of its kind and that deserves to be spelled out in some detail. Members of this club, in most cases, are world famous people with world famous collections, and that is only shown by a list which should be converted to descriptive text. Also not included in the page is their participation in major philatelic exhibitions, and that needs to be detailed. When I have the opportunity to study the Collectors Club, I'll see if I can reorganized and expand the page from what it is now.Wikited (talk) 21:52, 22 April 2009 (UTC)
