[edit]This is the talk page for Colin Davidson.
As the page originator, I am new to Wikipedia and am still learning how to use it, so please bear with me.
In order to verify my claims, I do have written and linked evidence to substantiate the awarding of the Medal of Freedom. I have a copy of the Commonwealth Gazette No: 61 15 April 1948, p1899 and a copy of an original Memorandum from the Australian Military Board advising Colin of the Kings unrestricted permission for him to wear the medal, with a reference to the Commonwealth Gazette entry, dated 4 August 1948.
A copy of the typewritten citation was also attached to the abovementioned documents which were stored with the medal, all of which are currently in my Uncle's possession.
The link to Australian War Memorial, which is a government entity, records Colin Bancroft Davidson PX227 as a Medal of Freedom recipient with reference to the Gazette entry also. As well as my Grandfather's entry in the Gazette there are another 22 entries of medal of Freedom recipients for 1948 who served in the Australian defence forces, including Naval and Air Force personnel. These personnel are also recognised on the AWM site as MoF recipients.Donaz01 (talk) 04:25, 19 December 2009 (UTC)
