Outdated Page
[edit]This page needs some updating - one of the source link is dead and the webpage link no longer exists. Added the broken link tags to the article and the talk page. I'll try to get to it, but if someone else has some free time...Spectral85 (talk) 05:18, 12 May 2013 (UTC)
Title card screenshot
[edit]The Cold Squad title screenshot being used in the infobox should be replaced with one that does not have a television channel logo on it (and if there's going to be a logo on it, it should be CTV). The screenshot of the title needs to be from the original episodes (season 1 is available on DVD in North America). I have a title card screenshot from season 7 (name in white letters against black background). I might be able to get the one from season 1. Any season would be better than using something from a U.S. tv channel (Sleuth). After all, this is a Canadian tv show. Pyxis Solitary (talk) 07:58, 12 September 2016 (UTC)
- Since posting this comment, I was able to watch the title sequence (i.e. credits before the series' title appears) of the first and last episode for each season. The sequence was revised for Season 3 and thereafter slightly modified more than once, but the "Cold Squad" title card remained the same throughout the seven seasons.
- The title card design is: animated split screen that transitions into blue capital letters on a grayish-white bar running across the screen and set against a shimmering blue-gray-white background.
- (The screenshot from "season 7" I mentioned above must have been created by one of the syndication channels that aired the series. Just as Sleuth created the one that's currently being used for the infobox.) Pyxis Solitary (talk) 10:15, 14 September 2016 (UTC)
- For the last 90 days, the total page views by editors, anonymous editors, and readers for this Talk page is 47. If it had more traffic I would wait and see if another editor was willing to upload a screenshot of the title from an original episode. Therefore, I have uploaded a new image of the series' title card, taken from Season 1/episode 1 (as I stated above, it remained the same for all seven seasons). Article revamp
[edit]I started revamping the article on September 9, 2016. I added sections: *Cast and characters*, *Development and production*, *Episodes*, *Broadcast*, *Intellectual property controversy*, *Home media*, *Reception* (with accolades table), *Further reading*; and created the "List of Cold Squad episodes" article. I also changed the title screen file (the previous was a screenshot from the "Sleuth" channel).
Cold Squad: Then (May 29, 2016) ... and ... Now (January 21, 2017).
If anyone in Canada can find more articles and interviews about its development and production, broadcast, and reception -- please let me know so that we can include additional information in the article. Pyxis Solitary (talk) 13:50, 10 February 2017 (UTC)

Excessive links in "See also"
[edit]§ See also section has far too many links, including some already given in the body of the article. yoyo (talk) 15:08, 23 June 2019 (UTC)
- Eye of the beholder. Content not exceed MOS:SEEALSO ... since there is no specific restriction on how long the list can be. The guideline only states "a reasonable number". per MOS: "The links in the "See also" section might be only indirectly related to the topic of the article because one purpose of "See also" links is to enable readers to explore tangentially related topics."
However, I removed Cold Case (since it is linked in the body of the article) and series that involve true cases. Pyxis Solitary yak 06:41, 24 June 2019 (UTC)
