Billy the Kid?

[edit]

Shouldn't William Bonney, a.k.a. William Antrim, a.k.a. Billy the Kid be listed as a former resident? 73.104.111.7 (talk) 23:24, 26 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

No evidence that Billy the Kid was ever in Coffeyville. You are confusing him with the Dalton Gang who were mostly local to the Coffeyville area. Cuprum17 (talk) 11:18, 27 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Wow. You are correct. The new “Billy the Ked” series on Epic is complete BS and led me astray. It has him in Cofffeyville, KS. after leaving New York with his family. These TV writers! 2601:344:4001:63E0:51DA:4528:A06E:59F9 (talk) 12:53, 27 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Norden bombsight

[edit]

In this article, claims are made about the efficacy of the Norden bombsight and how it brought greater precision and accuracy to warfare, but awkwardly, these assertions are contradicted by the wikipedia page on the Norden bombsight which is linked. In combat, the Norden notoriously was not good, however the project was known about by Axis and Allied nations alike and the hype surrounding the project was good for propaganda which I think you will find translated into many of the urban legends concerning how "good" the bombsight was to this day. 208.68.254.71 (talk) 03:11, 15 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I'm having a hard time finding a substantiation for the unsourced paragraph, I wonder if it would be best to just remove it as undue. CloakedFerret (talk) 03:36, 15 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
