Preparation method depends on what you hope to get from a cupping - professional coffee buyers will generally prepare with at least two methods to see how the coffee tastes when prepared differently. If you're cupping to try and find a coffee you'd want to drink, you generally prepare it the way you would normally prepare it at home.

Personally when I'm cupping I prepare with french press because it keeps taste for a reasonable amount of time and tends to hold more flavours than drip brew. Espresso isn't a good idea for cupping because the shots lose flavour so quickly. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.45.208.186 (talk) 23:53, 21 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Horrible Article

[edit]

The opening paragraph is hilarious! The "flavor regions of the tongue" is thoroughly debunked! Then the rest of the article is a bunch of citationless gobbeldyguck that tries to sound legitimate!67.190.86.13 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 23:37, 28 September 2011 (UTC).[reply]
