Fair use rationale for Image:NewMetroRail logo.svg
[edit]Image:NewMetroRail logo.svg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 16:51, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
Shuttle train services
[edit]This isn't written very well and it's just based on my limited observations, so it might be wrong, but I thought the article should have something like this:
There are crossover tracks both north and south of Cockburn Central station, enabling trains to turn here. The crossover tracks north of the station are not used. The crossover tracks south of the station are used by trains terminating here to park on a third track, which is long enough to park two trains, before they travel north again, either still out of service or as services departing Cockburn Central station.[citation needed]
In particular, I don't see why they would build the crossover tracks north of the station if they're not used.

for what it's worth, i've seen the northern crossover tracks used; trains were running very late, and a south bound train used the northern crossover to pull into the station to pick up north bound passengers. Glob.au (talk) 06:17, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
- After I posted that comment, I realised that the northern crossover tracks might be used to run services between Cockburn Central and Mandurah, in case some "incident" occurs north of Cockburn Central. I don't understand why the Cockburn shuttles don't always use the northern crossover to pull into the station. Brian Jason Drake 08:09, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
