Good work on this article! Please keep it up. I only corrected some blatant political bias. Don't praise one side or the other, stay neutral and the articles will be better for everyone. Remember: Facts, not opinions. - Mauco 03:33, 23 September 2006 (UTC)
- What is wrong in calling Tiraspol's authorities as "separatist"? That's a fact. As long the international community don't recognize Transnistria, what's wrong calling Chişinău government as legitimate government?--MariusM 04:20, 23 September 2006 (UTC)
- Separatist: Nothing wrong with that, except that we do it in the main Transnistria article. I know that you are new here, so you do not remember the consensus that was agreed upon regarding this in the past. You see, there are over 100 Transnistria related articles and stubs, and we decided to not comment on the political status of Transnistria in any of them. We merely say "Transnistria" without introducing a qualifier. Those who then want to know more will click on the blue Transnistria wikilink and find out more. That is the whole point of hyperlinks in the first place, namely so that each individual article or stub does not need to give any deeper background. It also has the benefit that if the political status changes, we just do one edit instead of hundreds. For admin purposes, this is a huge help, so please respect this as it is the standard which are applied elsewhere for Transnistria related pages. - Mauco 04:38, 23 September 2006 (UTC)
- "Legitimate government": This is value laden. In the eyes of Chisinau, yes it is the legitimate government. In the eyes of Tiraspol, it is not. In the eyes of some outsiders, it is. In the eyes of others, it is not. To avoid this mess, just say Republic of Moldova and the problem is solved. After all, you are doing an article about a GEOGRAPHICAL LOCALITY so there is no need to introduce politics. I hope that I am making myself clear to you, because I am trying to teach you how to create a better article that will stand the test of time. Your personal animosity towards me, which you have demonstrated sufficiently in various Talk pages in Romanian, should not influence how you take this advice. - Mauco 04:38, 23 September 2006 (UTC)
- As long as politics has a significant impact for this locality it should be added. In other Wiki articles (true, mainly for big cities) political info is existent. Not all people who will look for Cocieri will know what the political status of Transnistria is. I don't agree to call "transnistrian" everything related with separatist regime. There are antiseparatist transnistrians (is a fact, Wikipedia should not hide it), this is why "separatist" must be used - for clarity.--MariusM 17:31, 23 September 2006 (UTC)
- Two changes: First, Wikipedia's styleguide specifies that you only wikify words on the first mention (not on second, third, etc). I have now done it for you. Second, you should not use loaded words like "regime". A neutral word is government. It does not infer any country status on Transnistria since there are in the world also such things as local governments, municipal governments, state governments, regional governments, etc. Keep your article NPOV and everyone will appreciate your contributions. Go overboard, and they won't. - Mauco 23:22, 24 September 2006 (UTC)
