Hungarian Koboz

[edit]

Do you think this is a different instrument to the Hungarian Koboz / Kobosz? Unrelated to the Ukraanian Kobza? Do you have any proof of the etymology cited? Would you like a translation of the page on hu.wikipedia relating to koboz? http://hu.wikipedia.org/wiki/Koboz Leegee23 (talk) 13:46, 18 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Some history of the Magyar instrument: http://hungaria.org/projects.php?projectid=4&menuid=139 Leegee23 (talk) 13:49, 18 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I do not think Koboz should redirect to a page that treats it is a different instrument. The Magyars have been playing the Koboz long before Transylvania was given to Romania, and as such i feel its history under-represented here, and yet it does not feel right to add a section, 'Hungarian Koboz.' Please can we remove the redirect?

Also, can we add the infobox for stringed instruments? Leegee23 (talk) 14:00, 18 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Dispute_resolution_noticeboard#Koboz.2C_Cobza Leegee23 (talk) 14:09, 18 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Image Mirrored

[edit]

The image "Modern Cobza being played as an Oud, with a long thin plectrum" is mirrored. Please rectify this. 148.6.118.174 (talk) 09:05, 6 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
