External links
[edit]As the linked pages were of various quality, I removed all external links except the relevant Everex link. I suggest keeping this area clean like Clasmate PC and Asus EEE articles do. Please consult any adding of external links here first!--Kozuch (talk) 20:41, 29 January 2008 (UTC)

NewEgg Comments on OS maintenance and Memory Upgrades
[edit]Somebody on NewEgg posted this in a user review:
Pros: I work in the tech support department for Everex. There are a few things people need to know.
Cons: Installing any version of Windows...actually, anything other than what comes on it, is NOT recommended by Everex. Some things aren't going to work right, if at all, unless you miraculously find drivers for them. Doing so voids any software support that we can give until the original OS is reinstall, which currently has to be done by sending in the unit to the repair center. Adding RAM to your Cloudbook COMPLETELY voids your warranty, due to having to nearly take the Cloudbook apart.
Other Thoughts: I know these items aren't readily apparent when people are looking at or purchasing this unit.
While the fact that replacing the OS will remove warranty support is fairly common, the lack of a restore CD can be a major hassle. People will have to image the system to restore it on their own (although a simple linux 'dd' should suffice.)
Also, the main page says that the memory is upgradeable.
