Intro needs improvement for clarity
This is such an extremely long article for such a simple concept, yet it fails to present a single clear statement of what CC is. The first sentence under terminology is actually more clear in explaining it. Going on about "cc and legends are both" ... "are both" and "both are" is like starting the article about plants by saying that "plants and animals are both ....... and they are both, and .... they both do xyz. Both live in abc and both produce ... Well, ok, enough of what both do - I want to know about the one individaully and independently of the other. Thanks Rui ''Gabriel'' Correia (talk) 12:01, 30 November 2014 (UTC)
- Yes, and, speaking of clarity, we also need to make clear how do we know (in the US WGBH and in-house real-time roll-up examples, as well as in the UK IMS for ITV and Sky example) that the line "I got the machine ready" is spoken by a man as opposed to a woman or a child, if we don't have any visuals (as in a video) in the article. --Fandelasketchup (talk) 11:23, 6 August 2017 (UTC)
- Notice I made my comment about having a video in the article for verifiability purposes, because I have seen many editors make changes to articles without citing sources. --Fandelasketchup (talk) 11:20, 6 August 2017 (UTC)
- Also, Rui, since "clear" is a single syllable, we don't say "more clear" as we would, for example, say "more expensive", we instead say "clearer" in the same way we say "older", "heavier", "lighter", "stronger" and so on. You must really learn English grammar before you post another comment here. --Fandelasketchup (talk) 11:28, 6 August 2017 (UTC)
