Former slaves buried here?

[edit]

I came across some record of former slaves buried at this cemetery, but when I searched again on wiki, I can't find it anywhere. It would be great detail to add, along with the way this cemetery was segregated, as was the custom of the time.C. W. Gilmore (talk) 11:12, 25 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

While were slaves in the region, the start of cemetery was rather late (1844), so it's not clear. Can't find anything, either.

Yes, it was on the tail end of NJ slavery, that's why I said 'former slaves'; but as it holds the bodies of Revolutionary War veterans, it surely has former slaves interned there? C. W. Gilmore (talk) 15:35, 25 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
