"This was the longest ever time after the original work was completed that the Nobel Prize was awarded (broken by the 2012 physiology prize)."

Does anyone know the justification for this claim? As far as I can tell this claim is not correct. Peyton Rous did his work on Rous Sarcoma virus in 1909-1910 and didn't win the Nobel Prize until 1966. This 57 year lag far eclipses the 48 year gestation period for Clifford Shull.
