Classification change?
[edit]Removed the image request as one has already been added. Seems that the article has been improved enough to be considered C-class at least, right? (has this been evaluated at all since 2010?) Don't want to overstep so I haven't changed that myself, maybe someone else feels more qualified to look at that? DietPepsi01 (talk) 06:16, 8 September 2024 (UTC)
Source for the biography
[edit]Wikipedia article just copy-pastes biography entry from allmusic.com by Scott Yanow (and "inside/outside sax player" came from there). See [1] —Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.152.89.120 (talk • contribs) 11:40, 19 September 2009
- It doesn't leave much, but I re-wrote the text to omit the copyvio. Thank you, -- Gyrofrog (talk) 18:41, 23 March 2010 (UTC)
"inside/outside sax player"
[edit]I don't understand the meaning of this phrase. could someone clarify? AuntFlo (talk) 07:21, 10 November 2008 (UTC)
- Nor do I, so out it goes until someone can make it more suitable for an encyclopaedia entry. Have removed the following:
...was an inside/outside sax [player]...
- An inside-out or inside/outside musician was in the sixties a jazz musician capable of both straight-up-and-down and free or avant garde jazz. Oftentimes it describes a musician who played approachable yet harmonically complex music. However, all of this is academic because as the above comment notes this entire article is copied from Allmusic. I'm not a Jordan expert, but I'll see if I can do a little research to improve the article. - Greenmango (talk) 05:24, 13 March 2010 (UTC)
