Sid Vicious
[edit]Someone recently added Sid Vicious as an alumnus. The context of the addition suggests that it was vandalism, but someone with actual knowledge of this school will need to either delete the addition or retain it. TRANSPORTERMAN (TALK) 01:56, 10 January 2010 (UTC)
- Apologies for the erronious warning. The story of Sid Vicious attending this school seems to be a local myth that no-one has ever been able to prove. I have searched many times and found no usable source that confirms it. magnius (talk) 02:02, 10 January 2010 (UTC)
- Now it's sourced by SV's article on answers.com, which is hardly reliable... noisy jinx huh? 00:37, 14 June 2010 (UTC)
- I'd agree that we need a much better source than that, both are somewhat dubious to be honest. magnius (talk) 00:42, 14 June 2010 (UTC)
- There are hardly any reliable sources out there to be honest, will look into this "Myth" and try to get to the bottom of it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Anarchy111 (talk • contribs) 00:54, 14 June 2010 (UTC)
The wikipedia articles for Sid Vicious in Argonese, Swedish and Slovenian all say that he attending Clevedon School as do a lot of web biographies in many languages? As a sceptical teen i quizzed some middle aged ex-students about it and they provided me with pretty convincing testimonies! 79.93.206.32 (talk) 20:37, 9 May 2013 (UTC)
- See WP:OR. On Wikipedia original research, what some editors may refer to as "the truth", is always trumped by verifiable facts. --Bob Re-born (talk) 21:27, 9 May 2013 (UTC)
