[edit]

This article is now on my to-do list, I'll get round to it soon!

EvocativeIntrigue 14:17, 2 June 2006 (UTC) In an interview for the History Channel aired on 1/28/07 the current CEO of the Cummins Company tells that cummins was the choufer during WWI not in the 20's.[reply]

Potential discrepancy in "Early life"?

[edit]

This is my first edit of a Talk page so if I violate any standards or rules please let me know.

Without any source, the "Early life" section claims that "In the 1920s Cummins went to work for a banker named William Irwin in Columbus, Indiana, as a chauffeur and mechanic."

However, he supposedly founded Cummins Engine Co, Inc in 1919. With no other mention of the chauffeur position it seems possible to me that the claim of 1920s could be incorrect. simply wanted to point that out, a more experienced user can likely investigate more and make the call.
