Rock that Sucker
[edit]I had to search the Web to realize that it was she (and not the Southerners Robin and Linda Williams) who was the Prairie Home companion responsible for the bit of musical north-country wisdom called "Rock that Sucker". It describes the indirect technique needed for getting a car into motion in several inches of unplowed snow (or in several inches of snow that's tumbled off the plow's artificial snow drift). This art is probably easier to master with a standard, since the "rocking" is more about -- and often entirely about -- alternating between forward and reverse, than about anyone outside rocking the car by synchronizing pushing and releasing with the a frequency characteristic of the situation.
I'm not sure if the song is more important as an aspect of technical or musical culture, or of the culture of hibernal pride, but hopefully at least the title will eventually have a place in at least the accompanying article, if no article of its own.

residence change / Sally Rogers
[edit]At a Claudia Schmidt- Sally Rogers concert last night at Openeye Theater in Minneapolis, Claudia mentioned that she has moved back to Minneapolis. Also I note that the Sally Roders link in the article is to her web page rather than to a Wikipedia article about her. I did a simple Wikipedia search for "Sally Rogers" and only found articles about others by that name.Is there an article about her? Common names have these problems.
